Regenerative Land Care Consulting: Your Guide to Ecological Landscape Transformation
My Expert Guidance for a Greener Tomorrow in Princeton, Pennington, Lawrenceville, Flemington, Chester, Bedminster, Deal, Point Pleasant, Mercer, Hunterdon, Morris, Somerset, Monmouth, Ocean, and other surrounding towns and counties of New Jersey.
I help homeowners’ associations, property management companies, homeowners, and estate managers navigate the complex transition from conventional landscaping to Regenerative Land Care and ecological stewardship, with my expert guidance, not shears or a shovel. I do not perform or sell physical landscaping services. That means no upselling, no equipment bias—just honest, seasoned guidance to help you realize long-term cost savings and increase the value of your existing landscape.
My Independent Expertise Serves You When You Need It Most
How many times have you wished for an impartial, experienced voice to help guide your land management decisions?
How often have you wanted a seasoned industry professional who has complete comprehension of historically conventional practices as well as new, modern, environmentally sound practices to advocate for your vision without trying to sell you unnecessary landscaping services or products?
I’m Here to Provide That Expertise
Regenerative Land Care (RLC) represents a fundamental shift from conventional landscaping that works with natural systems rather than constantly fighting against them. RLC is the overarching practice that encompasses all the aspects of ecological, sustainable, low-impact, and organic landscaping. My approach focuses on restoring ecological function, supporting biodiversity, and aligning land management with long-term environmental and human health goals. The result? A beautiful, resilient landscape that’s more self-sustaining and less dependent on synthetic inputs and disruptive maintenance practices.
I balance traditional aesthetic values with modern ecological principles, understanding that people have an expectation of what their landscapes should look like and how those spaces can better support natural ecosystems. This thoughtful, intentional approach creates transitions that are both visually appealing and environmentally beneficial.
What Sets Me Apart
With 30 years of green industry experience, I established Richard A. McCoy Horticultural Services Inc. in 1998 as a conventional landscape company. In 2005, we began transforming into one of New Jersey’s first completely organic, ecological, and low-impact land care companies. Or as we now call it Regenerative Land Care.
McCoy Horticultural offered Regenerative Land Care solutions, including organic lawn care, native plant design, and green infrastructure installation. Our maintenance operations ran entirely on off-grid battery power through a self-designed 1.8 kWh solar trailer and autonomous robotic lawn mowers. I also serve as the Northeast representative for the American Green Zone Alliance (AGZA).
I no longer perform installation or maintenance work. My sole focus is serving you and providing high-level ecological guidance, design direction, and project oversight, ensuring you hire the right people and get the results you deserve.
This means:
Unbiased recommendations to serve in the sole interest of my clients
No upselling of unnecessary services
No equipment or product bias
Just my honest, experienced guidance based on land care best practices
